Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has admitted he has never witnessed a football match played at such a breathtaking speed. His comments came after his side claimed a narrow 5-4 victory over FC Bayern Munich in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final clash.

The Spanish coach spoke to Canal+ immediately after the final whistle. He offered praise to both sets of players for their remarkable commitment during the nine-goal thriller.

“I have never seen a game with that rhythm before. You must congratulate the opponents and the players,” Enrique stated.

The former Barcelona boss noted that Bayern took huge risks after falling 5-2 behind. He reminded journalists that the German champions have lost only three matches in all competitions this season.

“When you hold a 5-2 lead, the opponents take massive risks. They are a top-level side. It was difficult, and the second leg will be hard too,” he explained.

Despite celebrating the victory, Enrique remained humble. He suggested the final score could have gone in any direction during the chaotic encounter.

“We are very happy, and I think we deserved to win. However, we also deserved a draw. We might even have deserved to lose because the game was that incredible,” he concluded.
