Eintracht Frankfurt are preparing a strategy to keep their sporting director Markus Krösche at the club for the long term.

German newspaper Sport BILD reports that the Bundesliga side refuses to accept Krösche’s possible departure. Mathias Beck, who chairs the supervisory board, will make a surprise move to speak with the sporting director.

Beck wants to offer Krösche a new contract. His current deal runs until 2028, but Frankfurt hope to extend it further.

Earlier, both parties agreed that Krösche would inform the club this spring if he planned to leave in the summer. He did not send this notice. Frankfurt now see this as a chance to negotiate a new agreement and secure his future at the club.
