Medhi Benatia will leave his post as sporting director when the current campaign ends. Club owner Frank McCourt confirmed this decision. The Moroccan will not continue in the role.

Paul Mitchell will not fill the vacant position. This is according to reports from Foot Mercato. George Syrianos of Nottingham Forest has also said no to the job. He was concerned about the lack of clarity regarding the club’s financial situation.

Fournier wants to come back to Marseille. He worked there as Secretary General between 2004 and 2009. Recent meetings between both parties went very well.
