RSC Anderlecht have confirmed that Antoine Sibierski will join the club as their new sporting director. The Frenchman leaves ESTAC Troyes to take up the position in Belgium.

Troyes have enjoyed a successful campaign on the pitch. The French club have secured promotion back to Ligue 1 for the new season. Clever player recruitment drove their recovery. The team fell to the third division two years ago. Now they are heading back to the top flight.

Sibierski played a key role in this success. However, French newspaper L’Équipe reports that he had disagreements with club president Edwin Pindi. Because of this, he will not stay at the City Football Group-owned side as they prepare for top-flight football.

Instead, he will work for Belgian giants Anderlecht. The move was confirmed on Monday. Troyes must now search for a new sporting director. The club have identified several candidates. Former striker Bafétimbi Gomis, who previously played for Troyes, is one option. Jocely Blanchard and Julien Fournier are also being considered for the role.
