Brendan MacFarlane is preparing to swap his scouting duties at Manchester City for a leadership position at Troyes. The experienced talent spotter will serve as the French club’s interim sporting director.
The move sees MacFarlane remain within the City Football Group family. Troyes operates under the same ownership umbrella as the Premier League champions. The club recently secured their place back in Ligue 1 after winning promotion.
MacFarlane joined Manchester City in April 2023. He previously worked as head scout at Toulouse, another French outfit. Before that, the Irishman gained experience at Brentford and contributed articles to Get French Football News.
