- Real Madrid boss Alvaro Arbeloa calls the leak “disloyal” and a betrayal of the club
- Ceballos has not featured for Los Blancos since February amid reports of broken relationship with manager
- Spanish midfielder set to depart Bernabeu this summer with Ajax linked to former Real Betis star
Details of a bust-up between Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde at Real Madrid’s training complex became public knowledge within hours last week. Now, manager Alvaro Arbeloa has shifted attention to the source of the leak.
The Real Madrid coach confirmed that both Tchouameni and Valverde received punishment from the club. The two players have also apologised for their behaviour. However, Arbeloa expressed disappointment about the betrayal. He described the leak as “disloyal to the club” and a clear act of “betrayal”.
According to reports, Arbeloa suspects midfielder Dani Ceballos as the dressing room mole. The 29-year-old allegedly discussed the incident with external parties, including friends and acquaintances. He reportedly shared specific details about what occurred between the two teammates.
Although Arbeloa denies any fall-out with his squad, multiple sources suggest no relationship exists between the manager and Ceballos. Various reasons have been cited for this breakdown. Regardless of the cause, the Spain international has been excluded from recent match-day squads. He has not played since February.
Ceballos, whose contract runs until 2027, is widely expected to exit the Santiago Bernabeu during the upcoming transfer window. The player has grown frustrated with limited playing time. Meanwhile, the club remains unimpressed with his contributions. Last August, Ceballos nearly completed a move to Olympique Marseille. However, he withdrew from the deal at the last moment. Ajax have recently emerged as potential suitors for his signature.
