Bayern Munich had already opened discussions with Gordon’s camp. Manager Vincent Kompany strongly wants the winger at the Allianz Arena. The player himself prefers a move to Germany.
However, Chelsea’s interest creates a problem for the Bundesliga champions. The Stamford Bridge club can offer Premier League football and big wages.
Barcelona were also in the running, but journalist Fabrizio Romano says the Spanish giants have ended their pursuit. This leaves a straight fight between Chelsea and Bayern.
