However, speculation about his future continues to grow. French newspaper L’Équipe recently claimed that the former Arsenal youngster could head back to English football. The report linked him with a move to the Premier League.
When questioned about these rumours, Balogun remained calm. Speaking to reporters at a press conference, he explained that his mind is on the present.
“Right now, I am only thinking about the match against Strasbourg. After that, I have the World Cup to focus on. We can look at what happens after the tournament,” he stated.
The striker added that he has not received any updates about a transfer. He wants to concentrate on finishing the season strongly with Monaco.
