Former Italy forward Antonio Cassano has launched a fierce attack on AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri and sporting director Igli Tare. He claims the pair have ruined the club’s season through poor decisions.

Speaking on his Viva El Futbol show, Cassano called Allegri a “disaster” this term. He also criticised Tare for failing to improve the team despite arriving with high expectations from fans.

Cassano defended club chief executive Giorgio Furlani against angry supporters. He argued that Furlani does not pick the players or manage tactics on the pitch. Instead, he pointed to Allegri and Tare as the men who chose the squad and created the system.

The ex-striker also backed Antonio Conte as the best choice to replace Allegri this summer. He said Conte could become the first manager to win four Serie A titles with four different clubs. Cassano praised Conte for focusing on football rather than seeking media attention.

Milan are currently struggling to secure a place in next season’s Champions League. Their campaign has fallen well below expectations after a series of disappointing results.
