Austria head coach Ralf Rangnick has revealed his final 26-man panel for the 2026 World Cup finals across North America. The squad will compete in the USA, Mexico and Canada next summer.

The German top flight supplies the bulk of the team. Exactly fourteen players ply their trade in the Bundesliga. This makes up over half of the entire squad.

Bayern Munich midfielder Konrad Laimer features prominently. He joins forces with Borussia Dortmund pair Marcel Sabitzer and Carney Chukwuemeka. RB Leipzig leads the club contributions. The Red Bulls provide three internationals: Xaver Schlager, Christoph Baumgartner and Nicolas Seiwald.

Werder Bremen also supplies two stars. Captain Marco Friedl and midfielder Romano Schmid both got the nod. However, teammate Marco Grüll did not make the cut.

Mainz plays a big role too. Defender Philipp Mwene is in the squad. The panel also includes Stefan Posch, who is currently on loan at the club. Other Bundesliga representatives include Alexander Prass of Hoffenheim, Michael Gregoritsch from Augsburg, Philipp Leinhart at Freiburg, and Wolfsburg winger Patrick Wimmer.

Several veterans with past Bundesliga experience also feature. David Alaba leads this group, which includes Marko Arnautovic, Florian Grillitsch and Sasa Kalajdzic. Young talent Paul Wanner and defenders Kevin Danso and Alessandro Schöpf complete the experienced contingent.
