Bayern Munich will not return to Munich for celebrations if they win the DFB-Pokal final this weekend. Club president Herbert Hainer has confirmed the team will skip the traditional Marienplatz party.
The Bavarians face VfB Stuttgart in a Berlin clash on Saturday. Kick-off is at 20:00 CET.
Hainer told BILD that the players will go straight home on Sunday instead. National team members must join their countries just two days after the final. They need to rest before the 2026 World Cup.
Victory would give Bayern their first domestic double in six years. The club already celebrated their 35th Bundesliga title at Marienplatz on 17 May. They lifted the Meisterschale in front of their supporters after securing the league crown.
