Maxime Estève is preparing to quit Burnley this summer after the club’s demotion to the Championship. The 23-year-old centre-back has no desire to play in England’s second tier next season.
The French defender began his career at Montpellier HSC before moving to Turf Moor. He has now completed 100 matches for the Clarets, establishing himself as a key figure in their back line.
According to French publication L’Équipe, Estève faces a straight choice between remaining in the Premier League or transferring to the Bundesliga. Nottingham Forest, Everton and Bournemouth have all initiated contact with Burnley to explore a deal. Meanwhile, German champions Bayer Leverkusen have also registered their interest in the player.
Despite holding a contract that runs until 2030, the Lancashire outfit have opened the door for his departure. The player is expected to confirm his next destination in the coming days.
