Three English top-flight clubs are preparing offers for Toulouse defender Charlie Cresswell. The 23-year-old centre-back has attracted strong interest from Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace and West Ham United ahead of the summer transfer window.

The former Leeds United academy graduate has spent the current campaign in Ligue 1. He made 32 appearances across all competitions and received recognition as one of the division’s standout defenders. French football experts nominated him for the centre-back of the season award after helping his team secure a safe mid-table position.

Cresswell originally moved to the south of France for just €1.5 million. However, Toulouse operate a selling model that depends on moving players for profit. The club expects to accept offers for the England youth international, who now holds a much higher market value.

All three interested clubs have monitored the player before. They now plan to renew their pursuit as the season closes. A return to English football appears likely for the talented stopper.
