AS Roma are planning a major attack for next season. The Italian club wants three new forwards. Coach Gian Piero Gasperini has full control of transfers now.
The Serie A side has left old advisors behind. Claudio Ranieri and Frederic Massara no longer decide on new players. Gasperini picks the targets now. He wants players who fit his system. The coach used this style at Atalanta before.
Norwegian winger Antonio Nusa is the top choice. Roma tried to buy him last summer and in January. RB Leipzig wanted €60 million before. The price has fallen by €10 million now. The 21-year-old could join if Matias Soulé leaves first.
Liverpool and AC Milan also want Nusa. The young star has scored five goals this season. He has also made four assists in 35 matches.
The club needs more wide players too. They are looking for cheaper options as well.
West Ham’s Crysencio Summerville is one option. The 24-year-old can play on both wings. He has seven goals and four assists in 33 games this term. He shares an agent with Roma’s Donyell Malen. This could help the deal.
Mason Greenwood from Marseille is the third target. The 24-year-old has scored 26 goals this season. He also has 11 assists in 45 games. He cannot return to England because of past problems off the pitch. His relationship with Marseille is tense now. Gasperini has always liked how he plays.
