Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Augsburg defender Noahkai Banks. The Premier League club has sent scouts to Germany to watch the young player in action at the WWK-Arena.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a strong start to the 2025/26 season with Augsburg. He was a regular name on the team sheet for much of the campaign. However, his playing time reduced towards the end of the season as he slipped down the manager’s list of preferred options.

Earlier this year, Banks spoke to Bulinews.com about his future ambitions. The defender admitted that he loves playing in the Bundesliga. However, he also expressed interest in other top European competitions.

“It is hard to choose just one,” Banks explained. “I truly enjoy the Bundesliga. But there are many excellent leagues. The Premier League, Serie A and La Liga are all fantastic.”

Despite his interest in England, Banks revealed that his heart belongs to a Spanish giant. “When I was young, I always looked up to Barcelona. They have always been my favorite team. Maybe one day I can play for them. We will have to wait and see,” he said.

The teenager has made 31 appearances for Augsburg in all competitions. Arsenal will likely continue to monitor his progress before making any decisions about a potential move.
