Real Sociedad have made a formal offer to sign Brazilian striker Emersonn from Toulouse FC. The Basque club has proposed a fee of €14 million including add-ons.
Toulouse have turned down this approach. The Ligue 1 side value their player at €25 million. Emersonn still has three years remaining on his current deal, which expires in 2029.
The 21-year-old only arrived in France last summer. Toulouse paid €3.2 million to acquire him from Götzepe. He has adapted well to the French top flight.
This term, Emersonn has started 18 of his 27 league appearances. He has found the net six times against major opponents including Olympique de Marseille, Olympique Lyonnais and AS Monaco. He has also created two goals for his teammates.
Emersonn previously represented Brazil at Under-16 level. However, national team manager Carlo Ancelotti has not named him in the squad for the upcoming World Cup.
