Ivan Zazzaroni, who edits Corriere dello Sport, has thrown his support behind Massimiliano Allegri. He believes the former Juventus boss would be the ideal choice to take charge at Napoli. The journalist made these comments during an interview with Radio KissKiss Napoli.

Zazzaroni stated that Allegri represents the perfect option to replace Antonio Conte. He explained that Napoli requires a manager with extensive experience and a history of winning trophies. The editor dismissed suggestions that Fabio Grosso could take the role. He feels Grosso lacks the necessary experience for a club of Napoli’s size. Instead, he predicted that Maurizio Sarri might move to Atalanta.

The respected journalist also addressed the Italy national team situation. He claimed that Roberto Mancini is 99.9% certain to secure the position. This would mark a dramatic comeback for Mancini, who departed as Italy coach in 2023.

Conte’s position at Napoli remains unclear. He has held discussions with club president Aurelio De Laurentiis. However, no final agreement has been reached. The Italy job has remained vacant since the team failed to qualify for the World Cup under previous management.
