The Serie A season ended on Friday night with two matches. Champions FC Internazionale Milano played Bologna FC 1909 at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara. Inter wanted to celebrate their domestic Double. However, this stadium brought back bad memories. They lost the Scudetto here last year.

The game started at 5:00 PM UK time. Federico Dimarco scored first for Inter. He kicked a free-kick into the top corner. The Bologna keeper, Lukasz Skorupski, touched the ball but could not stop it.

Bologna did not give up. Federico Bernardeschi scored an equaliser. He used the outside of his boot to finish from close range after a clever back-heel. Then Tommaso Pobega scored Bologna’s second goal. His shot from the edge of the box hit two players. The ball changed direction and went past the wrong-footed goalkeeper.

Inter captain Lautaro Martínez had a tough match. He lost the ball and then tackled Remo Freuler badly. The referee showed him a yellow card. Martínez knew it was a bad tackle. He said sorry to Freuler straight away.

Bologna’s striker Santiago Castro missed some big chances to score more. He slipped when he tried to shoot from the edge of the area. Later, Carlos Augusto blocked his shot from six yards out.

Inter’s goalkeeper, Josep Martinez, also looked nervous. He found it hard to pass the ball out from the back. Bologna players pressed him and almost scored.

In Rome, SS Lazio played Pisa at 7:45 PM UK time. This was the last home game of the season. The fans said goodbye to veteran winger Pedro. Coach Maurizio Sarri also probably managed his final home match at the club.

The players walked onto the pitch with their children. This is the tradition for the last home game of the season. It was very hot in Italy. The referee stopped the match for a cooling break.
