FC Bayern Munich midfielder Konrad Laimer has spoken publicly about his contract discussions with the Bundesliga champions. The Austria international addressed the media following his side’s 3-0 victory over VfB Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal final on Saturday evening.

The 28-year-old’s current agreement runs until 2027. However, talks are underway to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena beyond that date. No final deal has been reached yet.

“I feel really comfortable here. The team is great fun to play with. We will see what happens next,” Laimer told Sport1 after the match.

Some reports suggested the player had asked for very high wages. Laimer rejected this idea completely. “You do not even know what I am asking for! Honestly, I have never demanded anything specific. We will see where this goes,” he explained.

The former RB Leipzig star has spent three seasons in Munich. During that time, he has helped the club win several trophies. This year, they secured the domestic double.

Laimer refused to give a specific date for when he might sign. “Football changes quickly. Perhaps tomorrow we will say, ‘Boom, it is signed.’ Or maybe we wait until after the World Cup. Things can move fast at any moment,” he said.
