Brentford FC have made a strong move to sign young attacker Said El Mala from 1. FC Köln. The Premier League side have put forward a written offer worth €45 million in total. This amount includes a base fee of €40 million and an extra €5 million in bonuses that are easy to reach.

The English club have also added a 15% sell-on clause to their proposal. This means Köln would get 15% of any future transfer fee if Brentford sell the player later.

Thomas Kessler, who is the sporting director at Köln, spoke about the bid on Tuesday. He did not name Brentford directly. However, he confirmed that an offer has arrived for the 19-year-old player. Kessler stated that the money on the table is high enough to make him ready for discussions.

German newspaper Bild reports that the offer has a time limit. Brentford want a deal done within a few days. If Köln do not agree quickly, the London club will end talks and walk away.

El Mala joined Köln in 2025 from FC Viktoria Köln, who play in the third tier. The club paid just €350,000 for him. Now they stand to make a huge profit on the teenage forward.
