  • Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of capturing an 18-year-old Spanish goalkeeper this summer.
  • Sporting director Luis Campos has managed the negotiations for several weeks.
  • The move forms part of PSG’s strategy to invest in promising young talent.
  • Lucas Chevalier faces an uncertain future after losing his place in the starting eleven.
  • The French international has not played since January and may leave despite his long-term contract.

Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to add an 18-year-old Spanish shot-stopper to their squad. The reigning European champions expect to finalise the deal during the summer transfer window. Luis Campos, the club’s sporting director, has spent several weeks securing this target.

The French giants continue to focus on future stars. They recently signed Renato Marin, who is 19 years old. Officials regard Marin as a player with elite potential. The new goalkeeper fits this same long-term plan.

This potential arrival creates serious doubts about Lucas Chevalier. PSG paid €55 million to sign the 24-year-old from LOSC Lille last summer. However, he has endured a difficult season. He has not featured in a match since January 23rd. France manager Didier Deschamps also left him out of the 2026 World Cup squad.

Chevalier remains under contract at the Parc des Princes until 2030. Despite this, speculation suggests he could depart in the coming months. His status within the team has clearly weakened.
