Italy have revealed their squad numbers ahead of the friendly match against Luxembourg. The game takes place on Wednesday evening in Luxembourg, with kick-off scheduled for 7:45 PM UK time.
Silvio Baldini will manage the team on a temporary basis. He moved up from the Under-21 setup after Gennaro Gattuso stepped down from the role. Baldini will also lead the side for Sunday’s match away to Greece.
The squad mixes experienced internationals with new faces. Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma remains as captain. However, most of the group consists of young players who have not yet earned senior caps.
Fiorentina midfielder Cher Ndour has been given the prestigious number 10 shirt. He already wears this number for Italy’s Under-21 team. Meanwhile, Inter Milan forward Francesco Pio Esposito will wear number 9.
