Manchester United are considering a summer move for Borussia Dortmund star Waldemar Anton. The Premier League side are ready to table a bid worth around €40.5 million for the Germany international.
The 29-year-old centre-back has attracted attention from scouts at Old Trafford. Officials have reportedly monitored his performances several times this season.
Links between Anton and Manchester United first emerged in March. German media also named Aston Villa and Atlético Madrid as clubs tracking the defender.
The centre-back moved to Signal Iduna Park from Stuttgart last year. He signed a contract extension that keeps him at the club until 2028.
Anton is currently with the Germany squad for the World Cup. He faces stiff competition for a place in the starting eleven from defenders such as Nico Schlotterbeck, Jonathan Tah, Antonio Rüdiger and Malick Thiaw.
