Eintracht Frankfurt have secured their chief executive for the next six years. The Bundesliga club confirmed on Wednesday that Axel Hellmann has agreed a new contract that runs until 2031.
Hellmann is 54 years old. He has worked at the German outfit since 2012, when he first joined the board. He became chief executive in 2021.
The club’s supervisory board approved the new deal this week. Hellmann said he is excited about the future.
“I look forward to the next five years,” he stated. “I enjoy working with our employees, board members and committees.”
He also thanked Mathias Beck, who chairs the supervisory board. Hellmann praised Beck for trusting him with the role.
The chief executive spoke about the club’s recent progress. He noted that Eintracht Frankfurt has grown economically. The brand is now stronger both in Germany and abroad.
“We have become leaders in digital innovation,” Hellmann added. “People admire our work across the sporting world.”
He promised to continue this progress. The club will focus on clear strategy and professional standards.
Mathias Beck also spoke about the news. He is the president of Eintracht Frankfurt.
“Trust between the board and supervisory board is crucial,” Beck explained. “Axel has built this trust over many years.”
Beck said the contract gives the club security. They can now plan for the future with confidence.
“We will stay competitive economically,” Beck continued. “We can grow in a healthy way while serving our fans and community.”
