RB Leipzig defender Yan Diomande has spoken openly about his desire to play for Paris Saint-Germain. The 19-year-old Ivory Coast international says he has loved the French club since he was a small boy.

In an interview with French media, the centre-back explained that his father also supported PSG. He said it would bring him great pleasure to join one of the biggest teams in Europe. He also noted that speaking French would make it easy for him to settle into his new surroundings.

Reports suggest the young defender has already reached an agreement on personal terms with the Ligue 1 champions. However, Diomande insists his immediate focus is on the World Cup with his national team. He told reporters that his agents are handling his future, but right now he remains a Leipzig player.

The German club does not want to sell the teenager. Sporting director Marcel Schäfer says they feel no pressure to let him leave. Diomande signed a long-term contract until 2030 and his deal does not include a release clause.

Despite this stance, sources close to the Bundesliga side say they could accept an offer if it exceeds €100 million. The defender watched with joy as PSG won back-to-back Champions League titles. He now hopes he can help them win more trophies in the future.
