AC Milan midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has given his strong support to Manchester United’s plan to sign Ederson from Atalanta. He believes the Brazilian will be a great addition to the Premier League side.

Loftus-Cheek spoke to Sky Sports UK while attending the Monaco Grand Prix. He shared his thoughts on the reported €45 million deal, which includes €40.5 million upfront and €4.5 million in extra payments.

The midfielder praised Ederson’s abilities based on their past meetings on the pitch. “He is very physical and quick. He has strength and good technical skills with the ball. I think he will perform really well there,” Loftus-Cheek said.

The Englishman has faced his own struggles this season. He spent most of the campaign recovering from various injuries. This limited his game time for AC Milan and affected his chances of international selection.

Loftus-Cheek will not travel to the 2026 World Cup in North America. Thomas Tuchel left him out of the England squad. However, the midfielder supports the manager’s decisions. “Thomas is a clever person. He will pick the team he trusts. We must support him and the players who are going,” he added.
