The Tunisian Football Federation has officially removed Sabri Lamouchi from his role as head coach. This decision comes after the team’s poor showing in their opening match of the 2026 World Cup.
Tunisia lost 5-1 to Sweden in Guadalupe. The heavy defeat forced the federation to take quick action.
In a statement on Instagram, the federation confirmed they had reached an agreement to end Lamouchi’s contract. They also announced plans to appoint Mondher Kebaier as the new temporary coach.
Kebaier will take charge immediately as the team prepares for their next group game. Tunisia will face Japan this Saturday before playing against the Netherlands in their final group match.
