The approach represents a bold move by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) as it seeks to fill the bench vacancy. FIGC President Giovanni Malagò has indicated that a decision on the new appointment will be made soon, though he confirmed that Guardiola is not the only candidate under active consideration.
