Champions Inter make strong start
Reigning champions Inter began their title defence with a commanding 4-1 victory over Monza at San Siro on Friday evening. Hakan Calhanoglu, Piotr Zielinski, Esposito and Yann Bisseck all found the net for the hosts. Esposito’s display earned him a place among the weekend’s top three rated players, while defenders Bisseck and Andy Diouf also received recognition for their solid performances.
Allegri era opens with Napoli victory
Napoli secured a 2-0 win away at Genoa in their first competitive fixture under new head coach Massimiliano Allegri.
