Milan have turned their attention to Manchester United defender Leny Yoro and Barcelona full-back Alejandro Balde as they seek to strengthen their defensive options before the transfer window closes on Monday.

The renewed interest follows confirmation on Sunday morning that attacker Leao has completed a move to Galatasaray for a fee of €38 million plus bonuses. That departure provides additional resources for the Rossoneri, who are actively working to add a centre-back and a wing-back to Ruben Amorim’s squad before the 1 September deadline.

Amorim Connections and Target Profiles

Yoro has emerged as a leading candidate for the centre-back position. The French international carries a valuation of approximately €50 million. He is familiar to Milan head coach Ruben Amorim from their time together at Old Trafford, and he shares representation with super agent Jorge Mendes. Mendes has been heavily involved in Milan’s summer business, overseeing the arrivals of Gonçalo Ramos, Diego Moreira and Mario Gila.

For the left wing-back role, Barcelona’s Balde is under serious consideration with an estimated price tag of between €40 million and €50 million. Alternative targets include Manchester City’s Rayan Ait-Nouri, who has been proposed to the club, and Sporting CP’s Gonçalo Inacio, who is valued in the same €40 million to €50 million range.

Squad Restructuring Continues

The sale of Leao to Galatasaray represents a significant shake-up of the attacking unit, but it is not the only exit in progress. Striker Santiago Gimenez is reportedly on the verge of completing a transfer to Porto. Meanwhile, defenders Youssouf Fofana and Fikayo Tomori are searching for new employers after learning they will not be involved in Amorim’s plans for the current campaign.

With only hours remaining until the window shuts, Milan must move quickly to secure their defensive targets and finalise their summer recruitment.
