AC Milan are reportedly set to activate contract extension clauses for two key midfielders, Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot, securing their futures at the San Siro until June 2028.
This strategic move by the Rossoneri aims to provide stability within the squad, with both players considered integral to the team’s plans for the coming seasons. The club is not currently rushing into new, longer-term contract negotiations, relying on the existing extension options.
Pulisic’s Future Secured
Christian Pulisic, who joined Milan in 2023 from Chelsea, arrived on an initial deal that included an option to extend his stay. The United States international’s transfer from the Premier League club was valued at €20.3 million plus bonuses. Milan’s decision to activate this clause means Pulisic will remain with the Italian giants until at least June 2028.
Despite some earlier reports suggesting plans for a much longer contract, Milan’s current approach indicates a preference to utilise the pre-existing clause rather than immediately entering into fresh, extensive discussions with Pulisic’s representatives.
Rabiot Extension Confirmed
Similarly, French international Adrien Rabiot is also poised to have his contract extended. Rabiot joined Milan last summer from Olympique Marseille, with his current agreement set to expire in June 2027. The club plans to activate a one-year extension clause, which will see him remain at the club until June 2028.
This extension ensures that Rabiot, who has been a consistent performer since his arrival, will continue to contribute to Milan’s midfield for an additional season beyond his initial contract term.
