Christoph Freund has confirmed that Bayern Munich official Kathleen Krüger is in discussions with Hamburger SV. The talks concern a move to become the second-tier German club’s new board member for sport.
Speaking at a media briefing on Friday, the Bayern sporting director revealed that Krüger informed the club about the negotiations. She has worked at the Munich giants since 2010.
“Kathleen has told us she is speaking with HSV,” Freund stated. He spoke warmly about her service to the club. He noted that she has filled many different positions during her time there.
Freund added that Krüger has earned huge respect through her excellent work. He said the interest from Hamburger SV shows that other big clubs recognise her quality.
The role would see Krüger replace Stefan Kuntz. She currently serves as Bayern’s head of organisation and infrastructure.
