Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has revealed his Bundesliga Team of the Week after the conclusion of Matchday 32. The chosen side lines up in a 4-1-3-2 formation and highlights several top performers from across Germany’s top flight.

Alexander Nübel of VfB Stuttgart takes his place between the posts even though his team let in three goals. The shot-stopper produced six crucial saves to help the ten-man Swabians battle back for a 3-3 draw against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen supply three players after their commanding 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig. Left-back Alejandro Grimaldo created six chances and provided one assist, while Nathan Tella both scored and set up a goal. Czech striker Patrik Schick leads the attack following his hat-trick, which extended his scoring run to six goals in just three league outings.

FC Bayern München’s Leon Goretzka joins the midfield after netting twice, including a fine direct free-kick. The Germany international operated in a more advanced position than usual to great effect.

TSG 1899 Hoffenheim also feature after their thrilling stalemate with Stuttgart. One of their attackers marked his fresh contract extension with two goals in the same fixture.

The defence includes Felix Busch, who played in a three-man backline and supplied two assists with a 93 per cent pass success rate. Another full-back caught the eye while operating deeper as a right-back against Borussia Dortmund, registering three key passes and 0.76 expected assists.

FC Augsburg provide a forward who struck twice in their 3-1 win over SV Werder Bremen. A substitute from another club also makes the cut after winning all his duels, scoring his side’s equaliser, and completing 95 per cent of his passes.

The final striking berth goes to a player who bagged a brace against Bayern München, with his second strike proving particularly spectacular.
