Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter Milan’s owners have set aside between €40 million and €50 million for the upcoming summer transfer window. However, this amount could grow if the club sells certain players. Defender Alessandro Bastoni is the most valuable asset they might sell.

The Nerazzurri are planning ahead for the 2026-27 campaign. This comes after they secured their 21st league title this season. The report states that Oaktree, the club’s owners, have told directors about the summer budget. The funds available will range from €40 million to €50 million.

The Italian champions face a busy summer. Several defenders will leave when their contracts finish in June. These include Yann Sommer, Matteo Darmian, Francesco Acerbi, and Stefan De Vrij. Veteran midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan will also depart when his deal expires.

The club’s plans for the back line depend heavily on Bastoni’s future. His decision to stay or go will shape their approach. Club president Beppe Marotta has confirmed that Barcelona want the Italian centre-back. However, no official offer has arrived at the San Siro yet.

The club has agreed personal terms with Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic. Yet negotiations between the two clubs remain at an early stage. The report adds that the club want Liverpool’s Curtis Jones. Tottenham Hotspur’s Guglielmo Vicario tops their list to replace goalkeeper Sommer.

The newspaper suggests that coach Cristian Chivu might change tactics. He could switch to a four-man defence system. If this happens, Atalanta’s Marco Palestra becomes a key target. The versatile Italian can play as a full-back or wing-back.

Separately, Corriere dello Sport claims the club still want Real Madrid’s Nico Paz. The Argentine midfielder is currently on loan at Como and will return to Madrid next summer.
