- The Serbian currently earns €12 million per year, making him the best-paid player in Serie A
Italian media report that Juventus have held five rounds of talks with Dusan Vlahovic’s camp. The striker’s father, Milos, leads these discussions. However, the two sides remain far apart on money matters.
Vlahovic’s current deal at the Allianz Stadium ends in just two months. He now earns €12 million net each year. This amount makes him the highest-paid player in Italy’s top division. The Serbian forward could leave for free at the end of June.
Juventus worry about losing their star striker to a direct rival. Both AC Milan and Bayern Munich want to sign him. The Turin club hope to agree new terms before the summer transfer window opens.
The 25-year-old has missed many games this season due to injuries. Despite this, the club still rate him highly. Vlahovic has shown willingness to compromise. He may accept a shorter contract of just two years. He might also accept lower wages of around €6 million or €7 million per year. This would match the deal given to teammate Kenan Yildiz.
However, extra costs block the agreement. Agent fees and large signing bonuses remain major problems. These added expenses stop both sides from reaching a deal.
