UEFA has confirmed that German referee Daniel Siebert will officiate this season’s Champions League final. The match will see defending champions Paris Saint-Germain clash with Arsenal at the Puskas Arena in Budapest on Saturday, May 30.

The 42-year-old Berlin native will lead an all-German officiating team. His assistants will be Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn, while Swiss referee Sandro Schärer will act as the fourth official for European club football’s showpiece event.

Siebert has already taken charge of both finalists during this campaign. He recently officiated Arsenal’s semi-final second leg against Atlético de Madrid. Earlier in the season, he also handled PSG’s away fixture against Athletic Bilbao in the league phase.

The experienced referee has overseen 27 Champions League matches in his career. He has also formed part of the officiating team at the previous two European Football Championship tournaments.

Meanwhile, UEFA announced that French referee François Letexier will manage the Europa League final. That match between Aston Villa and Freiburg will take place on Wednesday, May 20 at Istanbul’s Tüpras Stadium.
