The working relationship between Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Massimiliano Allegri has completely collapsed. The two men at AC Milan are no longer on speaking terms, according to journalist Monica Colombo.
Colombo writes for Corriere della Sera. She also spoke to the Milan Vibes YouTube channel. MilanNews.it shared her comments. She says the club is now divided into different groups. Good results had hidden these problems before.
“Everything at Milan is very turbulent right now,” Colombo explained. “The team environment has suffered because of internal tensions. The club is breaking into different factions. Good results had hidden the dust under the carpet. But the old problems came back quickly.”
The details of this conflict are serious. Colombo reports that Ibrahimovic has not visited the dressing rooms at San Siro or Milanello for about three months. The two men have not met face-to-face to fix their problems. “They are not talking right now,” Colombo said. “This cannot continue.”
The problem started with a disagreement about the third goalkeeper for next season. But Colombo says this was just an excuse.
More importantly, Allegri became angry when he learned about Ibrahimovic’s talks with players. The Swede reportedly spoke with Rafael Leão and Youssouf Fofana. He gave them tactical advice. This advice went against Allegri’s own instructions during training.
Ibrahimovic also contacted former player Antonio Cassano. This news did not help the situation at the club.
