Five games started at the same time at 11:00 UK time (12:00 in Italy). These include the heated Rome Derby between AS Roma and SS Lazio, plus Juventus against ACF Fiorentina. Genoa CFC host AC Milan, while newly-crowned champions FC Internazionale Milano play Hellas Verona at 14:00 UK time. The Nerazzurri will receive their league trophy after this match.

Later today, Atalanta BC face Bologna FC 1909 at 17:00 UK time. The Bergamo side only need a draw to guarantee seventh place and a spot in next season’s Conference League. Meanwhile, three matches at 19:45 UK time will decide which team joins the bottom two in Serie B. Cagliari Calcio, US Sassuolo, and Udinese Calcio are all fighting to stay up.

Atalanta vs Bologna Updates

The match between Atalanta and Bologna has seen plenty of action. Bologna striker Castro controlled the ball with his back to goal, turned quickly, and shot from close range. However, Atalanta’s goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi made a fantastic save to stop him.

Carnesecchi was busy again soon after. Winger Rowe found space and hit a powerful low shot with his left foot, but the keeper dived and pushed the ball round the post. He also saved another effort from Rowe after the player moved past defender Zappacosta.

Bologna’s veteran forward Bernardeschi had a good chance too. He ran forward and struck a low shot from outside the box, but it went just wide of the goal. Later, he fell in the penalty area after a challenge with De Ketelaere, but the referee said no penalty.

Atalanta had chances as well. Zalewski cut inside and bent a shot over the bar. De Ketelaere crossed from the right, but two teammates at the back post could not direct their headers on target. Krstovic tried a back-heel in the box, but it did not work.

Italian Tradition

In Italy, clubs follow a lovely tradition for the final home match of the season. Players walk onto the pitch with their own children as mascots. This happened today at various stadiums across the country.
