However, Bayern’s honorary president Uli Hoeness has poured cold water on any potential deal. Speaking after Saturday’s DFB Pokal final, where Kane scored a hat-trick against Stuttgart, Hoeness dismissed Barcelona’s chances completely. He declared that Bayern is a club that buys players, not sells them. He also questioned the Spanish side’s finances, stating they lack the funds to complete such a transfer.
Despite these strong words, reports suggest Kane possesses a release clause in his contract. This could allow him to leave for approximately €55 million. Barcelona have recently received clearance from La Liga to operate under normal financial fair play rules. This 1:1 status gives them greater flexibility in the transfer market.
Kane appears settled in Bavaria, having recently lifted the domestic cup. Yet the prospect of playing at Camp Nou alongside stars like Lamine Yamal and Pedri might tempt the striker. The final decision likely rests with the player himself.
