VfB Stuttgart have confirmed that Dennis Seimen will be their first-choice goalkeeper next season. The 20-year-old will return to the club after a successful loan spell with SC Paderborn, where he helped the team secure promotion.

Seimen steps into the starting role following the departure of Alexander Nübel. The experienced keeper has completed his three-season loan at Stuttgart and will now report back to Bayern Munich.

The club’s sporting director, Fabian Wohlgemuth, has expressed full confidence in the young shot-stopper. He stated that Seimen is not an experiment but a calculated choice for the position. Wohlgemuth praised the goalkeeper’s ability to adapt quickly to higher levels of competition during his time with Germany’s youth teams and in the lower divisions.

Stuttgart have also strengthened their options between the posts by signing Marius Funk from Energie Cottbus. Meanwhile, veteran Fabian Bredlow will remain part of the squad, and promising 18-year-old Fabian Hellstern has signed a new contract extension.
