FC St. Pauli are hunting for a new manager. The German second-tier side parted company with Alexander Blessin this week. They now seek a quick replacement.

Sky Germany reports that the Hamburg club have set their sights on Marcel Rapp. The 47-year-old is currently without a job. He left Holstein Kiel just last month.

Rapp guided Kiel to the Bundesliga in 2024. The club kept him on after they suffered immediate relegation back to the second tier. However, Kiel started the current campaign poorly. They faced a second straight drop to the 3. Liga. The board decided to sack the coach.

Arminia Bielefeld also showed interest in Rapp recently. Talks between Rapp and St. Pauli are still ongoing. No contract is signed yet.
