AS Roma are planning to strengthen their squad before the new season starts. The Italian team has set its sights on Croatian midfielder Nikola Vlasic. The 28-year-old currently plays for Torino in Serie A.

Sources say Roma are ready to pay between €12 million and €15 million to sign the player. This is possible because Roma will play in the Champions League next season. They missed the competition for seven years, so they now have extra money for new players.

Vlasic is a flexible footballer. He can play as an attacking midfielder or in the centre of the pitch. This makes him very valuable for the team.

The player has a contract with Torino until 2027. However, the club is willing to sell him this summer. Vlasic has played well this season. He scored nine goals and made five assists in 41 matches for Torino.

Before joining Torino, Vlasic played for Hajduk Split, Everton, CSKA Moscow and West Ham United. He moved to Torino on loan in 2022. The club bought him permanently for €10.6 million in 2023.
