Juventus are advancing negotiations to sign Genoa forward Jeff Ekhator in a deal valued at approximately €15 million, according to Sky Sport Italia and transfer specialist Gianluca Di Marzio. Talks between the Serie A clubs intensified on Tuesday morning as Genoa work against a strict June 30 financial deadline to complete an outgoing transfer and satisfy accounting requirements.

Player exchange options

The proposed agreement could see Austrian full-back David Puczka move to Genoa as a makeweight. Puczka currently plays for Juventus Next Gen in Serie C, where he has scored ten goals in 51 league appearances. Should he join Genoa, Juventus intend to retain a buy-back clause to safeguard their interest in the versatile defender, who has also represented Austria at Under-21 level.

Goalkeeper Giovannia Daffara represents another young Juventus player who could be offered to sweeten the proposal, though Parma have also registered interest in the shot-stopper according to the latest updates.

Italy international breakthrough

The 19-year-old Ekhator has already earned his first senior cap for Italy under caretaker manager Silvio Baldini and remains a regular for the Under-21 side. A product of the Genoa youth academy, he contributed four goals in 32 senior appearances this campaign, despite starting only ten matches across Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Deadline pressure

Genoa must register a significant sale before the end of the month to avoid regulatory complications related to their balance sheet. This urgency has driven negotiations forward rapidly, with both clubs discussing the structure of the €15m package. A swift conclusion would provide essential fiscal relief for the Ligurian club whilst allowing Juventus to secure a promising attacking talent capable of immediate first-team contribution.
