Bologna have turned down an €18 million approach from Juventus for defender Jhon Lucumí as the Serie A side brace for a transformative summer window. The proposal comprised €15 million plus €3 million in bonuses, but the club swiftly rejected it, insisting on the full €28 million release clause active until 15 July.

The Colombian international has emerged as a priority target for the Turin giants, who must now decide whether to meet the buy-out figure or risk losing the centre-back to rival suitors. After the mid-July deadline passes, Bologna are free to demand higher fees or retain the player entirely.

Premier League clubs circle

Juventus face competition from England for Lucumí’s signature. Bournemouth have registered interest, while Nottingham Forest are also reportedly monitoring the situation as they seek defensive reinforcements.

Forest are additionally tracking Santiago Castro, though the Argentine striker’s €40 million valuation has complicated negotiations. The Rossoblù have set that asking price for the forward, a figure that has reportedly cooled Juventus’s interest while potentially enticing Premier League buyers with greater spending power.

Captain among anticipated departures

Club captain Lewis Ferguson is admired by Rangers, Roma and Atalanta. Bologna could sanction the midfielder’s departure for approximately €20 million, with the Scottish Premiership side among the interested parties.

Winger Benjamin Domínguez is also expected to leave the Dall’Ara before the window closes. The anticipated exodus points to a significant reshaping of the squad, with the club prepared to cash in on the assets that have established them as one of the division’s most progressive sides, provided the offers meet their firm valuations.
