Paris Saint-Germain have added AS Monaco striker Folarin Balogun to their shortlist as they search for a replacement for Gonçalo Ramos, according to Foot Mercato. The France-born United States international has emerged as a candidate to fill the void left by Ramos, whose transfer to AC Milan has been confirmed.
However, the Ligue 1 champions have not yet made official contact with Monaco regarding the 24-year-old, who remains under contract at the Stade Louis II until 2028. Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also monitoring the situation and could rival PSG for the former Arsenal forward’s signature.
Strong Season in the Principality
Balogun has enjoyed a productive spell on the Côte d’Azur since leaving north London. During the 2025-26 campaign, he found the net 19 times and provided five assists in 43 appearances across all competitions. These contributions proved decisive on 24 occasions for Monaco, underlining his importance to the side.
The New York City-born striker switched international allegiance from England to the United States and has established himself as a key figure for the Stars and Stripes. His combination of pace, movement and finishing ability has attracted attention from several top European clubs looking to strengthen their attacking options.
Monaco’s Transfer Strategy
AS Monaco are not opposed to selling Balogun, although he remains tied to the club for another three years. The Principality side faces pressure to balance their books and may need to part with some of their most valuable assets this summer to meet financial obligations.
With no formal approach from PSG, Chelsea or Tottenham materialising as yet, the situation remains in the monitoring phase. Balogun’s availability could spark a bidding war should the French champions firm up their interest with an official bid, particularly given his proven record in Ligue 1 and potential resale value.
