Everton, Bournemouth and Fulham are monitoring Stade de Reims forward Keito Nakamura as the Japan international considers his future following the French side’s recent campaign. The 25-year-old has emerged as a target for the Premier League trio after a productive individual season.

Contract situation and valuation

Nakamura is contracted to the Champagne-based club until 2028, yet reports indicate he negotiated a release clause that would allow him to depart for a satisfactory offer this summer. A fee in the region of €25 million could prove sufficient to persuade Reims to sell their attacking asset.

The Japan international joined Reims from Austrian Bundesliga side LASK in 2023 for a reported €12 million. Since his arrival, he has established himself as one of the squad’s most reliable performers.

Playing record and international form

Nakamura started 29 of his 32 appearances during the previous campaign, contributing 14 goals and three assists across all competitions. Despite his personal contributions, Reims endured a challenging season that culminated in a sixth-place finish in Ligue 2. The club’s relegation from the top flight may accelerate the player’s desire to return to elite-level competition.

He has also demonstrated his capabilities on the international stage. Nakamura represented Japan at the World Cup, starting all four of his country’s matches in the tournament. He found the net once and provided one assist during those appearances, highlighting his ability to perform against high-calibre opposition.

None of the interested clubs have yet submitted a formal bid, though scouts from each side have reportedly tracked his progress closely. With the transfer window remaining open, negotiations could progress should any Premier League outfit decide to meet the reported clause.

The player’s versatility across forward positions and his proven goalscoring record in European football make him an attractive prospect for clubs seeking attacking reinforcements. At 25, he offers both immediate quality and potential resale value, fitting the profile of strategic recruitment increasingly favoured in the English top flight.
