The Kosovo international holds a €30 million release clause that allows for a straightforward exit from the Rhein-Neckar-Arena, where his contract runs until 2029.
Leipzig Hold the Advantage
According to Sport BILD, RB Leipzig currently lead the race for the striker’s signature. The Bundesliga club are reportedly prepared to trigger Asllani’s exit clause and may include a similar release mechanism in any contract offer, giving the player control over his future while securing an immediate step up. This development positions Leipzig as the frontrunners, though the final decision rests with the player.
Barcelona’s Alternative Plan
Barcelona remain in contention but view Asllani primarily as a fallback option. The Catalan club are concentrating their efforts on signing Julián Álvarez from Atlético Madrid, with Asllani serving as a credible alternative should that pursuit stall.
