Como have agreed terms to sign Brazilian left-back Kaiki Bruno from Cruzeiro as the Serie A side prepare for Champions League football next season.

Negotiations between the clubs have concluded with a handshake agreement, though sources differ on the exact financial structure. Reports indicate a deal worth €12 million fixed plus €2 million in performance-related bonuses. However, respected journalist Gianluca Di Marzio suggests the arrangement will be structured as a loan with an obligation to buy, with the total package reaching €15 million.

International pedigree

The 23-year-old defender arrives with growing experience despite his youth. A graduate of the Cruzeiro youth academy, Kaiki has contributed four assists in 32 competitive appearances this season, demonstrating reliability from the left flank.

His performances have attracted attention at international level. The defender earned his first senior cap for Brazil in April 2026, featuring during a friendly encounter against Croatia. He remains under contract with the Belo Horizonte club until December 2027, meaning Como have invested significantly to secure his services.

Ambitious recruitment drive

The capture of Kaiki forms part of a broader recruitment strategy at Como following their qualification for Europe’s premier club competition. The Lombardy-based outfit are leveraging their new status to attract talent from South America and beyond.

The club are simultaneously working to secure Getafe midfielder Luis Milla, indicating a clear intent to strengthen both defensive and midfield departments. Medical examinations and final contractual formalities for Kaiki are anticipated in the coming days as Como accelerate their pre-season preparations.
