Eintracht Frankfurt have secured the signature of German U21 international Noel Aseko from FC Bayern Munich in a deal worth approximately €13 million.
The 20-year-old central midfielder has committed to the Europa Conference League participants until 2031, marking a significant long-term investment in his development.
Impressive second-tier pedigree
Aseko arrives following a productive loan spell in the 2. Bundesliga. He spent last season at Hannover, where he contributed three goals and six assists across 32 league appearances. His performances helped Christian Titz’s side challenge for promotion, though they ultimately fell short of a return to the top flight.
The Berlin-born player originally joined Bayern from Hertha BSC in 2022 and signed his first professional contract with the Munich giants in 2024. Despite this progression, he departed without making a senior appearance for the record champions, finding his path blocked by established international stars.
Physical attributes suits Bundesliga demands
Frankfurt’s sporting director Markus Krösche highlighted Aseko’s readiness for top-flight football. “We’re confident that, with our coaching team and in our environment, Noel can fully develop his strengths in the Bundesliga,” he stated. He noted that the midfielder had demonstrated the necessary physical attributes in the demanding second tier.
Aseko himself expressed enthusiasm about the switch. “The talks with the management were very open and respectful from the start,” he said. “The move to Eintracht is an important step for me in my career.”
The midfielder arrives with strong underlying statistics from his time in Hanover. He ranked among the top five players in the division for duels won, total distance covered and top speed, suggesting a robust all-round game suited to Frankfurt’s competitive schedule.
This transfer represents another significant piece of business for Frankfurt as they strengthen their midfield options for both domestic and European competition. For Bayern, it marks the departure of a homegrown talent who progressed through their system but opted for first-team opportunities elsewhere.
