Juventus are negotiating with Paris Saint-Germain to reduce the €35 million valuation of Randal Kolo Muani and structure the transfer as a loan with an obligation to buy. The Serie A club hope this approach will bring the France international back to Turin after previous temporary spells failed to result in permanent contracts.

The Bianconeri held initial talks with the French champions four days ago and remain optimistic about reaching an agreement. However, PSG maintain their asking price at €35m following the forward’s return from a season-long loan at Tottenham Hotspur, where he contributed five goals and four assists across 41 competitive appearances.

From Turin to London and Back

Kolo Muani previously spent six months on loan at Juventus between January and July 2025, a temporary arrangement that cost the Italian side €3.6m plus wages. The clubs could not agree terms to extend or convert that deal into a permanent transfer, prompting the player to join Spurs instead.

The striker’s return to Paris leaves Juventus with another opportunity to secure his services, though financial constraints complicate the pursuit. The Turin giants missed out on Champions League qualification, limiting their spending power despite the player’s reported enthusiasm for a second spell in Serie A.

Valuation Gap Presents Challenge

PSG face their own pressures to recoup value from a player they signed for €95m from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023. With Kolo Muani’s contract expiring in June 2028, the Ligue 1 side have a narrowing window to secure a substantial fee before his market value depreciates further.

The proposed loan-to-buy formula reflects Juventus’s attempt to balance immediate squad needs with long-term financial stability. While PSG have shown willingness to negotiate, the two clubs must bridge the gap between the current valuation and what Juve can afford without guaranteed European revenue.

Kolo Muani’s mixed experiences in England and his previous adaptation to Italian football could influence the negotiations. The forward found the net regularly during his first Juventus stint, convincing the club’s hierarchy that he remains the right profile to lead their attack despite the disappointing return during his time in North London.
